Importing and Exporting Polygons

You can import polygons to and export polygons from selected layer(s) in shapefile (*.shp) or polygon (*.pol)) (proprietary) format. When polygons are imported, they are automatically attached to all layers in Edit mode at the time. 

To import polygons:

1.     In the Layer List, select Edit mode for the layer(s) to which the polygon is to be imported.

2.     On the Polygons tab, in the File group, click Import. The Open dialog box is displayed.

Note:        You can restrict your Browse list to files of a specific format by selecting the required format (shapefiles (*.shp) or polygon (*.pol)), in the file type field.

3.     Browse to the required file and click Open.
